Took the Challenge
Took Jamie up on her challenge about creating a simple lo using colors that we wouldn't normally use, or hand journaling or something other that what we usually put on a lo. I actually got 3 layouts done this put I am only putting the challenges up on here this evening. The first one I hand journalled and changed the photo to black and white. The journaling reads...Matt and Hattie are more than just co-workers, they are friends. The picture was taken at Matt's graduation. At graduation was the first time we all got to meet her. We all had heard so much about her it felt like we knew her already. She calls herself his black Mama. She is truly a special person in Matt's life. She is the epitome of the word Mother. And I know she was proud of Matt's accomplishment. I probably wouldn't have used orange either. The second one didn't scan to well. And what else is a Momma suppose to think other than that her daughter is beautiful. Her blue eyes just knock me out. I want my kids and grandkids to think I really tried to make it more personal with hand journalling pages. Hope you enjoyed your weekend! I got my Drewbie back this evening and couldn't get enough lovin from him. : )

Rascal Flatts Concert
Since I didn't have any good pictures from the
concert I wanted something to remember the moment so I created a lo. I scanned a CD insert and printed it on vellum of Rascal Flatts. The spelling of RF was paper with the alphabet letters that I cut out and distressed. And of course the journaling, tickets and at the bottom which might be hard to see I stamped Me and My Gang. I thought the paper went pretty good with matching the CD insert. TFL!
Have a good weekend and God Bless!

Nervous Energy
I am finally finished with this month's DT layouts. It was truly a challenge like pulling my own teeth. lol I worked most of the day yesterday and finished 2 layouts and did the other layout and the 2 cards early this evening. I am not going to post any layouts because they are TOP
SECRET!! until they are put out at Legacies. lol I am not sure if I like one of the layouts yet.
It will have to grown on me I guess. I had to do something to keep my mind off if my gang made it to North Carolina and if Colleen was feeling better. She isn't and she is worried she will have to find a ER down there. She is worried about messing up everyone's vacation too!
Well though I will miss Drew I will have the whole week of not setting any alarm clock and now I can work on some pages I have been putting off until I got the July DT kit done. Well enjoy the
better weather and the week ahead. Take care and God Bless!

Frustrated
I searched and searched and finally found the problem why I couldn't upload my pics. Here is the picture of my Gerber daisies. Would Heidi Swapp be jealous? lol
I am having such a hard time with this month's DT kit. I don't know if it is that I have the wrong pictures to go with the paper or if it's just a major block on my end. I have to wonder if anyone else has this problem once in awhile. It's so frustrating to have ideas in your head and not be able to get them onto the paper. I am having so much self doubt lately it's driving me a bit crazy. Wish me luck.
Colleen finally came home on Wednesday.
Still feeling a bit puny but better. She wants to be better because they are suppose to leave early Saturday morning for North Carolina on vacation.
I will have all next week off too. I hope to get a bunch of scrapbooking done and my layouts for the DT done then too.
I feel so bad for the people who have to work in this heat. Hopefully it will cool down soon. Take care and bye now.

Tests and more Tests
Well Colleen is still in the hospital. They can't seem to narrow it down and give her a straight answer to what is wrong. Her levels in her pancreas are to high they say. She had a MRI today and tomorrow another procedure sticking a tube down her throat to see is its a ulcer. Luckily for her she will be knocked out for it. I have had Drew 24/7 since Thursday evening. This is one tired nana! That's why God gives us children to raise when we are much younger. I haven't had time to do anything unless it's coming on the computer for a bit before bedtime to unwind. I did a take picture of my Gerber daisies. I love Heidi Swapp's Gerber daisies but I must admit there is nothing like the real thing. I so want to relax and work on some of my DT layouts and just haven't been able to do that.

Surprised!
I was so surprised to wake up and get on and find out that I had won the Legacies journaling and trinket contest layout. I have really been in a bad funk lately and this uplifted my spirits immensely. And I hope it brought me out of my scrapbooking slump. Now if someone could help me to get pictures and layouts posted on here I would be one happy girl.

Sidetracked
Well I was going to at least try and get a couple of pages scrapbooked tonite after dinner but we ended up having to go to the emergency room because Colleen was having chest pains. We stayed until about 8:45 and were pretty sure nothing major was wrong. We brought Drew home with us to spend the night. We will know more probably tomorrow after all tests are read and are back. Hopefully she won't have to spend the night at the hospital. More details later. Take care and God Bless.

Over the Scrapbooking Slump
Ok maybe I am coming out of my scrapbooking slump. I hope so! I just refigured out how to get a layout posted in TwoPeas after not doing it for awhile. I turned in a page for a contest and now I need to work on the layouts for this month. I have been fighting with myself saying that I don't have the right pictures but tomorrow I am going to try and get a couple layouts done.
The story on Drew this week was I went to my bedroom and came back into the kitchen a couple of seconds later and found he had gotten the chocolate syrup and squirted it on the floor and then got down on his knees and proceeded to lick it up right before I grabbed him up off the floor. The joy of a 2-1/2 year old. OH MY! Oh I am going to try and post a layout on here tonite too. Wish me luck! It hasn't been working and they say it might be Internet Explorer thats the culprit. Oh well it's not working still. Take care and God Bless.

Surprise Package
Ok I am still trying to get some pictures and layouts posted on here. Still running into some glitches.
I am excited to find out that I found the BasicGrey paper package from Kelly's blog. Since I started scrapbooking Basic Grey has been one of my favorite papers to work with. And since I have been scrapping I have met some very wonderful friends, and some very talented people. I truly believe it is a sisterhood. My next achievement hopefully after I conquer the posting of pics is to get a banner up and running. What better things to do when your everyday life seems a bit boring once and awhile. Take care and God Bless.
